The second batch of the Graduate Diploma programme will be graduating on 2 December, 2011. By the time they graduate, they will have had spent nearly 11 months at Nepā School, learning new and better ways to read and write, think critically and independently, and question the texts they read and the lectures they hear. On the whole, the students have made impressive progress in their ability to think and write critically and become more disciplined in their studies. We believe that the students have benefitted enormously from their Diploma programme just as we have learnt from them.
As we look forward to graduating the current group of students, we are preparing to admit another batch for the 2012 academic year. The courses to be offered next year will be the same as those offered this year. In order to help the students transit from the conventional Nepali educational system to our more rigorous and innovative system, we will be offering about five weeks of Introductory Academic English classes before the main semester. The students will be expected to read a lot, make presentations, and submit written assignments on a regular basis. This is why we accept only full-time students.
We hope to attract more students for the coming academic year. We will be offering partial or full scholarships and stipends to the deserving students from socially and economically disadvantaged groups.
We look forward to welcoming the new students to Nepā School.
