Graduate Diploma in Social Sciences (2010)
Admissions to the 2010 batch of the Graduate Diploma in Social Sciences are now
closed.
Detailed information on the application process for the 2011 batch will be made available at the end of September.
Individuals from minorities and disadvantaged groups are encouraged to apply. Admission to the diploma course is highly selective and will be made on the basis of merit.
Eligibility for Application
Applicants should have at least a Bachelor’s degree with a first or high second division in any discipline from a recognised university, and a reasonably good command of the English language.
Since the pedagogical standards are very high, acceptance to the programme will be highly selective and only those students deemed capable of handling the rigorous coursework will be admitted. Admission will be made on the basis of (academic) merit and a consideration of the applicant’s English reading and writing skills.
However, some consideration will be given to individuals from minorities and disadvantaged groups without compromising on the overall academic quality of the programme.
The maximum number of students accepted in each batch will not exceed 30. The course will only accept full-time students.
