Sarah Shepherd Manandhar received her undergraduate degree in anthropology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. After completing her degree, she first arrived in Nepal as a Fulbright student in order to carry out ethnographic fieldwork among the Dhimal community. Since completing this project, she has been an instructor at the American Language Center, Kathmandu and has been working as an editor for upcoming publications regarding Indigenous activism and Adivasi Janajati rights. Sarah finds writing to be both an important skill and an enjoyable past time, and she enjoys sharing this skill with her students. She will be teaching Introductory Academic Reading and Writing in the coming semester.
